Having recently seen Melancholia starring Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg, I am constantly reminded of the stunning visuals and calmness of the story.  Set amongst the extravagant garden surroundings of the Tjolöholm Castle in Sweden, Trier’s visual style was a clash between what is romantic, grand and stylized and then some form of reality.  We absolutely adore the woven rattan lounges where Charlotte Gainsbourg appears so relaxed, in the style of Italian brand Vittorio Bonacina.  Melancholia is a stunningly visual psychological feast for the eyes.
