Tramshed with works by Damien Hirst

Renowned London restaurateur Mark Hix has recently opened his latest venue Tramshed.

Located in what used to be an old electricity generating station for trams this controversial restaurant really is a talking point. Hix had his eye on the space for many years, and finally after overcoming planning laws, he successfully transformed the space in to a dramatic restaurant-come-gallery space.

While the food alone is something to talk about, it’s fair to say that the real talking point is the enormous Damien Hirst vitrine of a cow with a chicken riding its back, which lingers above diners. Why a cow with a chicken on its back? Well, that’s all there is on the menu of course!

Even if you aren’t so interested in eating only beef and chicken, it is certainly worth having a drink at Tramshed just to experience the drama of the place.
