The Red ‘Blue Cone’ Tree Hotel

In Harads, Sweden a Treehotel has been constructed encouraging guest to connect with nature. Made up of 5 individual tree houses each built in a pine tree and designed by various Scandinavian architects.

The Blue Cone, designed by Stockholm based architects Sandell Sandberg, is based on simplicity and accessibility, both in terms of material and design. The room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height and lightness, but also stability. The red Blue Cone, which is constructed in red painted birch shingles is contrasted with light and relaxed white interior.

Love the hotel, however the animal skin on the wall suggests a collision with nature rather than a ‘connection’.
