The Story of Vipp

I was fortunate to be invited into the home and office of Jette Egelund, the owner of Vipp in Copenhagen.

I was blown away by her incredible tenacity, passion and confidence to take design risks. Jette is a true inspiration! The Vipp Pedal Bin first crafted by Jette’s father Holger Nielsen for his wife’s hairdressing salon in 1939 is their signature design and the first chapter of what was to become the Vipp story. Under the helm of Jette the company has been enabled to develop an extensive range of products including ‘a kitchen that matches your bin’, the Vipp ‘shelter’ and the recently launched Vipp lighting.
